HONLEY High School’s young badminton players won through to the West Yorkshire finals at Bradford College.

Under the guidance of badminton coach Graham Howe, working in partnership with the school, the Under 14 boys team won the Kirklees area competition and qualified for the tournament in Bradford.

Playing against teams from Bradford and Leeds the Honley youngsters gave a very good account of themselves winning one of their matches and impressing in their other ties.

The schools partnership has led to a number of the students now playing in the local leagues with a variety of clubs in the Kirklees area.
