ROY SUTTON showed unstoppable form as he became the fourth veteran to win a Griffin Sixteen this season.

The former Waterloo regular has decided to transfer to Meltham this year and this result might even get him a place in their first team!

Up against Lancashire County player Andy Cairns in the final of the Mick McCluskey-sponsored event, Sutton led 7-5 at the ninth end.

Cairns then led, but Sutton got in and played his favourite long corner mark.

The resulting 14 break was enough for him to run out for a well-deserved win.
