THE John Carstairs Memorial Liberal League Mixed Pairs Merit Final will be played at sponsors Primrose Hill Lib on Sunday (2.00, scratching 2.15), with a prize fund of £320.
Ladies lead in this event (dress code applies) and pairings are:
Yvonne Heaume and Andrew Heaume (Almondbury Lib) v Karen and John Gant (Meltham Lib and Crosland Moor), Joyce Carroll and Tom Chatfield (Milnsbridge and Golcar Lib) v Hayley Abbott and John Baker (Meltham Lib), Karen Whitefoot and Alec Byrnes (Milnsbridge Lib) v Gloria Lumb and David Fox (Kirkheaton Lib), 2008 winners Hazel Lunn and Neil Jones (Almondbury Lib) v Lynne and Andy Carter (Cowcliffe Lib).
The competition is dedicated to the memory of John Carstairs and organisers thanked Primrose Hill Lib and Mary Kelly for their backing of the event, which carries prizemoney of £120 for the winners, £60 for the runners-up, £30 for the semi-finalists and £20 for the quarter-finalists.
