TOMORROW is the big day for Mirfield and District Bowling Association.
Brighouse Sports is the venue for the DV Mellor Mirfield Pairs final in the morning (10.30), followed by the Mirfield Merit final at 3pm.
Home members are handicapped 2-1-0 in successive rounds of the Pairs, while it’s 3-2-1-0 in successive rounds of the Merit, which is being sponsored by Bob Whitfield@Celebration Cards and Gifts of Mirfield.
Plenty of support would be welcomed by the finalists and the association.

THE Mirfield Old Bank Autumn Double, carrying £6,000 in prize money, gets under way on Monday, July 23.
There is massive interest as the winner takes home £1,300 and the runner-up a tidy £900. Anyone in the last 16 picks up £175 and there’s a £50 prize for the highest break.
The semi-finals and final will be staged on Monday, October 1.
