DAVID SCOTT added to his Stuart Richardson New Year’s Day Handicap title with a 21-17 victory against Trevor Holmes in the latest Sixteen at the Griffin Bowling Club.
In the final, Scott looked to be home and dry at 18-9 but, as the weather deteriorated, Holmes got back to 17-19 before ScottŠgot the two singles needed for his second win of the winter.
Scott said he was very pleased to win in difficult wintry conditions and thanked his opponents and sponsor Wayne Dews, who also refereed the final.

The Longwood duo won £140 after beating Paul Ingleby and Eddie Haigh in the final.
