ASHLEY DAYKIN is aiming to go one better in this year’s £5,225 John Smith’s Classic after finishing runner-up last time at Cleckheaton Sports.

He is drawn in the opening day of the competition this Saturday (6.00) when spectators are welcome to attend and there will be hot and cold food plus a bar all evening.
