The Moldgreen Con duo beat clubmates Tony and Ann Butterfield 21-13 in the Lockwood Con-staged final.

The final of the popular Marsh United £1,400, with £600 to the winner, takes place on Saturday (practice 6.00, start 6.30).

The winners of Linthwaite CBC’s Ladies Open Day, sponsored by the Coach and Horses, Linthwaite, were Jean Evans and Bridie Buckley who beat last year’s beaten finalists Christine Brook and Rose Dean 21-10.
The losing semi-finalists were Dawn Fowler and Eve Miller, beaten 21-8 by the winners, and Ruth Abbott and Janet McDonagh, who lost 21-17 to the runners-up. Club officials would like to thank everyone who took part.
The Elland League’s Open Pairs competition takes place on Sunday at KKingston BC, Halifax (11.30).
It is open to any member of any Elland League club and bowlers can enter on the day.
