THE Huddersfield Junior Bowling Association have a new president.
Yorkshire Junior home team manager, Graham Radcliffe, takes over from Kevin Walsh.
There is also a new team in the league as, after a two year break, Brockholes BC are back.
They have been formed by the hard work and skills of Yeolande Sykes.
The League have got two grants.
Chris Batler has doubled up the £500 bequeathed from the estate of his late brother, Steve, to provide £1,000 in what league secretary Geoff Martin described as “a very fine gesture from two lovely people”.
A further £600 was received from the Examiner Community Awards Fund and the money will be spent on recruitment, equipment, competitions and coaching drives.
The season kicks off on Saturday (10.00) and will culminate with the presentations at St Patrick’s on Friday, November 12.
