ALL-CONQUERING Huddersfield Veterans have been rocked by their worst ever defeat in the Yorkshire Inter-district League.

While the away side won 16-12 against Halifax at Sowerby Bridge West End, the home side were crushed 22-6 by their surprise-package opponents at Lindley Private BC.

It meant an overall 34-22 defeat against a revitalised Halifax team who played exceptionally well and deserved their outstanding success.

Vets officials thanked Lindley Private BC for the use of their facilities and hospitality shown by the officials and club members to teams and supporters.
