LINDLEY BC have won the third promotion place in the Slawit & Golcar Cars Huddersfield League’s Ingham Cup.
They scored a 206-184 victory in the play-off against Lockwood Con C.
In the match, based on aggregate score, Lindley led by 24 after four jacks, but this was reversed in the second four, enabling Lockwood to take a five-point lead.
Lindley’s last four then proved the strongest to leave them with a winning margin of 22.
Now the league is over, prizes have been decided.
Resulting from the marks given by captains throughout the season, Brockholes BC were judged to be the best green, pipping Linthwaite CBC by just 0.04 of a point.
The most improved green was judged to be Lower Hopton.
These awards will now be presented, along with the other prizes at the Association’s superb presentation evening (including a Race Night) at Paddock CBC on Saturday, October 24.
