CROSLAND Moor Manor are proving the form team in this year’s Huddersield Veterans League.
Their latest trophy was the Perrys Championship Trophy which they claimed after a huge 157-101 victory against Section IV champions Thongsbridge B at Lindley Liberal Club.
Section II winners Crosland Moor, who can boast six Subscription Cup players in their 10-man team, had seven out of seven winners with David Watson leading the way with a 21-3 victory.
After the three pairs had completed their games the Moor held a nine-point advantage after conceding 20 points handicap.
The four singles players each won their games comfortably.
In the semi-finals Crosland Moor beat Elland CA and BC 142-110 and Thongsbridge B beat Elland CA and BC B 175-145.
Katie-Jo Cooper, of sponsors Perrys Motor Sales, received a bouquet of flowers from competition secretary Bill Blackburn, while president Jim Sharland presented the trophy and £100 to Denis Lowery, of Crosland Moor.
