THE Griffin season gets under way on Sunday with a competitive Sixteen (11.00).
It is sponsored by club president Alan Hirst and Duncan Reeves is rated the 7/2 favourite to take the honours at the Colne Valley winter club.
It will be a special day in any case because, at around 4pm when the competition is over, Paul Sigsworth’s ashes will be spread on the green (friends and fellow bowlers are welcome to attend).
