SKELMANTHORPE Central Bowling Club are celebrating their centenary this weekend.
The club – who have a team in the Slawit & Golcar Cars Huddersfield League Beaumont Cup – are marking their 100th birthday with two days of events.
On Saturday, the centenary weekend begins with a coffee morning in the clubhouse from 10am, when bacon sandwiches will be on offer along with cakes, tombola and other attractions for all the family.
Sunday will be a Family Fun Day from 11am, when there will be various stalls and games with refreshments. There is also the opportunity for novices to go along and have a go at playing the game.
The green is behind Solos Tandoori Restaurant in the village, and the club members are planning to mark their big event in style.
