YORKSHIRE beat Merseyside by 34 points, but still face a wait to find out if they can make the County Championship semi-finals.

Huddersfield had very strong representation in the home team, who won 221-174 at Newsome WMC.

There was a Yorkshire debut for Netherton Con’s Craig Gant, stepping in at the last minute, and he had a 21-10 win over Phil Lee of Richmond.
