Entries are now being taken for the popular Marsh United £1400 Competition.
Sponsored by HB Clark, there is a first prize of £600, with £300 for the runner-up, £130 each for the losing semi-finalists and £60 for the beaten quarter-finalists.
There are eight qualifying rounds at the Eldon Road venue to be held on Saturdays May 30, June 6, 13, 20 and 27, July 4, 11 and 18. The final will be held on August 1.
It’s a 6.30pm start each night, with practice from 6pm and the first 64 entries received by Anthony Harper (with the £10 fee) will be in.
