FRANK GRIFFIN scooped his first victory at the Griffin Bowling Club.

The Waterloo player, who has been a member of the winter bowling club for three seasons, beat Mark Bramall 21-17 to win the Lockwood Conservative Club-sponsored Sixteen.

Despite heavy recent rain, the green was in great condition and the players commended greenkeeper Phil Todd for his efforts.
