Yorkshire Juniors were Huddersfield powered as they surged into the Drakes Pride County Championship final.

All 12 bowlers in the home team at Brockholes BC – all but two from our area – were victorious in the semi-final against Derbyshire to complete a 252-124 scoreline.

And the away team at Henhurst BC also came through, 207-203, to help book a place in the final against Wales on Sunday, September 13, with an overall match tally of 459-327.

Wales defeated Shropshire in the other last-four clash.

Chloe Hirst, who plays out of Halifax BC, was the biggest home winner for Yorkshire, beating Josh Clark to two, but there were a string of impressive performances in the whitewash.

Broad Oak’s Fern Beaumont and Brockholes’ Jack Chesswas were in the away team and both won their matches.
