Hill Crest are once again running their Open Pairs competition, sponsored by Grosvenors Butchers and Caterers.

The total prize fund is £1,640, with the winners picking up £500, making the event one of the most prestigious on the open circuit.

The standard of entry is again very high, with all six previous winners in the field. There are also six “Classic” winners taking part.

The first heat is on Saturday, July 21 (6.30), draw to be done on the green.

The first night has a local feel with Calderdale Federation bowlers Paul Demetriades and Barry Collinge (Elland WMC) taking part, as well as four strong Huddersfield pairings.
