NUMBER 13 proved lucky for Sarah Fox, of Ossett, who claimed the Enid Blackburn Memorial Trophy.
Fox finished ahead of the top-class field of lady bowlers and took the £250 first prize after a 21-9 victory against Meltham BC’s Jacquie Roper in the final.
After a close first round match against Jackie Hick, of Mirfield, winning 21-18, she had another nail-biting finish in the second round when she beat Julie Naylor, of Penistone 21-19.
In the semis, she overcame Christine Mizon, of Almondbury BC, 21-9 before repeating the same scoreline in the final to win the trophy.

The annual competition is open for players who compete in Section D to Section H of the Ladies League.
