Mick Fisher and Eddie Haigh from host club Lockwood Con beat David Armitage and Trevor Berry of Hemplow in the Veterans Association Pairs Final.
In a well-contested showpiece, the Lockwood pairing came through 21-17 in the end.
The green ran very fast on a hot, sunny day and, downhill towards the club, on some ends most of the woods were off the green. There were close run games all through the afternoon and a vital last wood either won or lost matches.
Chris Ball presented the prizes on behalf of Lockwood Con and Alan Stephenson, president of the Veterans Association, thanked everyone concerned.
