AFTER last week's success against league leaders North Cave, Huddersfield Indoor Bowls Club lost 12-6 to Ryedale IBC.

A good result would have virtually ensured the team a place in the play-offs at the end of the season.

But all is not lost as other results went in the team's favour, but there is no margin for error now ahead of the final match of the season against York early next month, with the final qualifying place still up or grabs.

This Saturday, however, Huddersfield travel to New Earswick for the final rounds of the Yorkshire County Double Rinks knockout competition.

The champions will have to win through their first-round three group games and beat the winner's of the other group in a direct play-off during the long, one-day event, which requires high levels of stamina and concentration.
