RASTRICK Bowling and Social Club won the Spenborough Press Challenge Cup.
They defeated Hightown 174-156 in the final at Cleckheaton Sports Club.
Rastrick had to overcome a five-point handicap in the showpiece, which was postponed on July 6 because of torrential rain.
They played well, however, to take the title – their first piece of silverware in 30 years!
Rastrick are confident this can be the start of a successful spell.
