HUDDERSFIELD Veterans bowling team scored a second successive victory in the Inter-District League when beating Leeds 35-21.

Ronnie Norcliffe was the most dominant winner for the home side, beating J Parker 21-3 in a 19-9 success for the team.

Roy Tipple was the top performer for the away team, winning 21-9 against K Watkins as they scored a tremendous 16-12 triumph.

Huddersfield will now be aiming to make it three wins out of three when they play Castleford a week on Friday, the home match being at Brockholes BC.

The home team observed a minute’s silence before their match got under way at Lockwood Park in memory of Jack Broadbent, the former Vets player from Lindley Liberal who has died.
