CALLUM WRAIGHT, from Shropshire, booked a place in the Champion of Champions at the Waterloo Hotel, Blackpool, with victory in the John Smiths Classic at Cleckheaton Sports Club.
The 21-year-old also banked a cheque for £1,200 in front of a large crowd who enjoyed the top-quality bowling on Saturday evening.
In a closely contested final Wraight beat Carl Armitage, of Warrington, 21-15 and Wraight fully deserved his victory, playing consistently well in collecting the Classic title.
Wraight also shared the highest break prize of nine with Preston’s Brian Duncan.
