THEY’VE got their supporters from Huddersfield behind them.

Now James Wilson and Scott Waites are hoping that the darts are on their side as they prepare to do battle in the British Darts Organisation World Championships in Surrey.

Linthwaite man James, who plays at The Royal in Milnsbridge, will be first in the spotlight on Sunday.

It is the first year that the 40-year-old has qualified for the amateur world championships.

Also taking part is Scott, 35, of Outlane, who will have to wait until Monday to compete.

Fellow darts players at The Foresters in Crosland Moor wished the former Grand Slam winner good luck.

Scott, the bookmakers favourite to win the title, said: “I’m feeling quite confident.

“I’ll just get up there and hope that my darts go right for me”.
