BRADLEY HALL’S three-man junior team have reached the National finals of the British Heart Foundation’s Golf championship.
The three juniors, Lewis Hopkinson, Elliott Lister and Connah Judson booked their place in the finals after success in the Area competition held at West End, where they also won the prize for the top fund raisers in the regional qualifying round.
The competition is open to all boys and girls under the age of 18, but to compete, players must raise sponsorship money for the British Heart Foundation.
And the Bradley Hall trio raised a magnificent total of £603, Hopkinson raising £168 himself, while club members contributed to the grand total.
Although they didn’t manage to win the knockout qualifying match, they still qualified and Hopkinson and Lister, who both play off a 15 handicap, and Judson, who is a five-handicapper, will now line up in the final at Close Hose Golf Club, Northumberland, on July 9.
