CHRIS Hanson posted a Challenge Tour top 10 finish in the D+D Real Czech Challenge Open last weekend.

The Woodsome Hall man bounced back after missing the La Gomera cut by three, by posting a score of 14 under par for the four rounds in the Czech Republic, eight shots off the lead.

This placed him in joint 10th position, earning him a cheque for 3,253 Euros and a place in the European tour event at St Omer, France, which began on Thursday.

Hanson was delighted with his performance in the Czech Republic, saying: “It was a great chance to bounce back from the disappointment of playing OK in La Gomera, but missing the cut by three.

“The golf course was fantastic. Despite the recent flooding it was amazing how well it had stood up to the weather.

“To get back into contention again after only playing a few events this year is great. I’ve shot nine under on a EuroPro event at Mottram Hall in 2011 but that’s comfortably my best round on the Challenge Tour.”
