A PARTNERSHIP which came together on the eve of the tournament gelled instantly to be the surprise winners of the 2013 Evans Bowl at Crow Nest Park.

James Burke was still looking for a playing partner during the evening celebrations on the eve of the club’s Pro-Am, when Mally Ozanne overheard his comments and agreed to play.

The pair went on to claim top spot with an unbeatable nett 61.4, beating runners-up Chris Stirk and Ian Moxon by 3.2 shots.

Dennis McAullife and Paul Morrison also shot 64.6, but lost out on the countback.
