ELAINE WHEELWRIGHT was the big winner when Bradley Hall managed to defy the rain for the Lady Captain’s Day.
Wheelwright scooped the Lady Captain’s Cup, with Debbie Wood the runner-up.
The Division I winner was Jennifer Taylor with Viv Weston runner-up, while Lynda Hirst won Division 2, Beryl Yarker finishing runner-up and Janet Teale was the winner in Division 3 ahead of Sam McFadzean.
Beatrice Grant won the best back nine prize and Alison Martin the front nine, while the nine-hole three club Stableford winner was Susan Holdsworth, Linda Ward finishing second and Eunice Oates took the putting prize.
The Junior Open takes place on August 1, when entry costs £8 which includes a meal after the round.
It is a strokeplay competition which is open to boys and girls aged 18 and under on January 1, 2012.
Tee times are between 12.00 and 15.00 and entry forms can be downloaded from the club’s website.
Winners at the Elland Golf Club captain’s days were Annie Green and Mary Mellor.
Green, who is the current Lady Captain at the club, scooped the Gentleman’s Captain’s ladies prize with a nett 72, while Mellor was the Ladies Captain’s prize winner with a nett tally of 150 over two rounds.
