BRADLEY Park member Trevor Williams has been drafted in to assist clubmate Barry Isles in running Halifax, Huddersfield Alliance events following the stepping down of James Washington.

As new club manager at Bradford (Hawksworth), Washington is unable to attend a full Alliance programme in the winter while Williams is a regular at events.

Isles is delighted to have got a positive response from Williams.

He said: “We have still to discuss Trevor’s exact role but he will probably be assistant secretary and we will sort out the finances between us.”

Washington, a member at Marsden, will retire as Alliance treasurer at the end of the season.

But he intends maintaining involvement with the Halifax, Huddersfield Union executive, of which he is the assistant secretary.

The Alliance meeting called off at Ogden this week is planned for next Tuesday, weather permitting. The course remains we.
