HUDDERSFIELD Golf Club’s Eric Lord has won the Halifax, Huddersfield Union Seniors Championship.
The event, held at Elland Golf Club, saw Lord score a double success as he was also in the winning Huddersfield team along with Richard Loddick and Graham Smith, who were presented with the Horrocks-Taylor Senior Team Trophy.

Category 4 (age 70-plus nett): 1 John Cocking (Marsden) 68, 2 G Horrocks-Taylor (Halifax) 69.
The Wednesday Golf Society’s next meeting is the traditional annual away day which this year is at Wortley next Wednesday.
