CHRIS HANSON is preparing for his third European Challenge Tour event of the year, when he competes in the Allianz Open Cotes d’Armor Bretagne tournament in Pleneuf, France, which starts tomorrow.

The Woodsome Hall golfer began his Challenge Tour this year with a tie for 30th place in India before having a terrific result in Colombia, South America when he finished tied for fourth.

His most recent run-out was in the Halifax, Huddersfield Alliance’s Page Trophy last week at Bradley Hall, where he won the Professional’s prize and was just pipped for the Page Trophy by one stroke.

The four-day competition at the Blue Green de Pleneuf Val Andre complex marks the start of a busy period on the Challenge Tour circuit, with events coming thick and fast over the next few weeks.

The Allianz Open is followed four days later by the biggest event on this year’s Tour, the Madeira Islands Open, which carries with it a prize fund of 700,000 Euros.
