JUNIOR Foursomes holders Willow Valley fell at the first hurdle in this year’s tournament, sponsored by Woodbrim Ltd.

The first team lost on the first extra hole to Hebden Bridge 2, while the second string were beaten 4 & 3 by Lightcliffe.

If Hebden Bridge’s was the closest of the round, then biggest was Bradley Park’s 8 & 6 win over Woodsome Hall 2, while Saddleworth gained a walkover against Castlefields.

The 16 winners from the opening round go foward to the second round on Friday, June 17, when the draw and venues are:
