THE Halifax, Huddersfield Union Junior Strokeplay Championship is being staged at Saddleworth on Sunday, and competitors and supporters are asked to take note of the following directions as there will only be one way into the club because of extensive roadworks in and around Saddleworth.
Travel out on the A62 through Marsden for six miles until reaching Delph.
At the crossroads turn left into Delph New Road and follow for half-a-mile until reaching junction with sharp left-hand bend. Turn into Ladcastle Road which leads to the golf course.
Using M62, leave at junction 22 and follow the signs for Delph and then as above, while the same applies using New Hey Road or Saddleworth Road via Scammonden.
Do not follow the Standedge and Dobcross route as Wall Hill Road will be closed.
