MELTHAM had a clean sweep of prizes in the final Wednesday Society meeting of this year at Crosland Heath.

There were 30 entries and Division I was won by Meltham’s David Law with 39 points off his handicap of nine.

Second was clubmate Roy Johnson with 34 points off 14.

It was all Meltham in Division II, too, with Halifax-Huddersfield Union president Phil Walton winning with 37 points off 16.

Keith Bruce took second place with 32 points off 22, winning on the back nine from fellow Meltham players Chris Naylor and David Cardwell.

The next meeting is at Elland on February 24 next year and the annual meeting at Marsden in March.
