BRANSHAW and Wortley will contest the final of the Lawrence Batley Seniors League knockout next Friday, August 26.

Woodsome Hall were beaten 6-2 by Branshaw in the semi-finals at Elland while Wortley survived a sudden-death play-off to defeat Blackley at Meltham.

On the first play-off hole, one of the Wortley team lost his ball, putting all the pressure on his partner. He played his second shot to 10 feet and two putted, but the four was good enough to win the hole and the match.
