DEFENDING champions Brad Hardcastle and Joe Stott from Halifax West End are again through to the final of the Union Junior Foursomes.

They will meet Huddersfield, who had to draft in a replacement for Melissa Wood but still emerged victorious 2&1 against Crow Nest Park at Meltham.

The West End duo went through 2&1 against Hanging Heaton at Bradley Park.

The final of the Junior Foursomes, which is sponsored by Woodbrim Ltd, is at Halifax West End on Sunday, September 16.

Hardcastle is also through to the final of the Junior Matchplay Championship, sponsored by Cartridge World, which will be played over 36 holes at Outlane on Sunday, September 23.

Hardcastle went through 2&1 against Marsden prospect Josh McAspurn and will now face Lightcliffe’s Patrick Latham in the final, who had a walkover against George Brady of Longley Park.

The Scratch Foursomes final at Halifax West End on Sunday, September 16, is between Crosland Heath and Longley Park.

The Heath went through 6&5 against West End while Longley Park beat Todmorden 3&2.

On the same day at West End, it’s the Handicap Foursomes final between Willow Valley and Meltham.

Willow Valley beat Castlefields 6&5 while Meltham won 1up against Longley Park.
