WOODSOME HALL are launching a fabulous new tournament this summer.
The Woodsome Hall Open Scratch Foursomes is a new competition for professional golfers and category one amateurs, and has been scheduled for Sunday, June 30.
The competition is a scratch foursomes strokeplay event, played over 36 holes, at Woodsome, and is expected to attract elite golfers from across the North of England to vie for the main title.
Professionals will play for a first prize of £1,000 per person, while amateurs will compete for vouchers to the value of £500 per person, the highest amount that anyone can win as an amateur golfer.
The competition is open to professionals, men, ladies and juniors in any combination. Amateurs must have a handicap of five or less and ladies will receive two courtesy strokes.
The tournament will be restricted to 74 pairs by ballot.
A magnificent trophy will be awarded to the winners, and their names will be inscribed forever in gold leaf on the historic boards inside the famous 16th Century Grade 1 Listed clubhouse at Woodsome Hall.
