GREENHEAD Gym Club competitors returned from the Yorkshire Grading Competition at Boston Spa laden with medals – despite the total field being over 200.

In Grade 14, the eight-year-olds launched a 12-hour day of competitions by being very successful, and all the Greenhead members were a credit to their hard-working coaches.

Antonio Mightly took silver and gained a distinction with a mark of 62.65, while Rose Wragg took bronze and distinction with 61.55.

Other placings in that age group, who all gained distinctions, were Sophia Kimber in fourth (61.25), Hope Clarke (59.35) and Lauren Weir (58.85).

In the 9 Years group, Amy Conway grabbed an excellent gold medal with 63.33 and a distinction.

Elsewhere there was a bronze medal for Olivia Buchanan in the older group with 59.60 and distinction, while other results were:

10 years: 4th Julia Marshall (59.97) and distinction.

Older age group: Megan Williams 58.45 (distinction), Chloe Chadwick 57.05 (pass), Michaela Amos 56.72 (pass).

Grade 13; 9 years group: 6th Chloe Fallon 58.72 (distinction), Sunnivah Waterman 55.80 (pass).

10 years: Natalia Rhodes 56.16 (distinction).
