AIMEE SMITH from Netherton led a trail of success for Cleckheaton-based TSV Gymnastics at the British National Development Plan meet.

The eight-year-old took the in-age Grade 14 title, passing with distinction to become the 2011 champion at the event in Halifax.

Clubmate Ella Hampson, aged seven from Lepton, also passed in the same section.

Hannah Doddy, aged eight from Netherton, and Emily Radcliffe (12 from Kirkheaton) took part in the out-of-age Grade 14 which was held at Rotherham School of Gymnastics.

Hannah was awarded the bronze medal in the 2002 age group while Emily received the championship title in the 1998-99 group, both passing with distinction.

Other clubmates that attended the gradings were Beth Maleham (2002 champion and distinction), Katie Whitfield (fourth in the 2001, distinction), Bethany Williams (fifth with distinction), Kiara Steadman (passed in 1998-99 group), Jahleesha Pinney (silver) and Emma Shelton (bronze in 1996-97 group).
