GREENHEAD COLLEGE have won the British Colleges Sport Hockey Knockout Cup.
Captained by Hannah Oxley, the team, who had progressed no further than the quarter-finals in previous years, beat Gower College from Wales 6-2, at Bloxham School in Banbury, to become national champions.
Goalscorers in the final were Ailish Hendry, Nicky Perry, Hannah James, Claire Higginson and Kate Smith.
The player of the match award went to Molly Timms, who produced a commanding performance in defence.
It was a fantastic finale to the season for the team who had come third in the British College Sports championships at Bath and reached the Northern finals of the English Schools Knockout cup.
