COLNE VALLEY achieved a terrific landmark by going through the season unbeaten.
A 3-1 victory against Bradford in their final League match completed that superb record for the jubilant ntl Dragons.
They had already secured the Premier League title, but to preserve their unbeaten record – they dropped just four points from a total of 54 – made the whole campaign even more memorable.
Against Bradford they were soon into their stride in a first half in which Sarah Kenny opened the scoring and Sue Rainbow followed on with two great goals from open play.
Bradford had plenty of youth in their side and they put together some good moves, but failed with the final strike.
They did pull one back before half-time, but that was as close as they came as Valley kept them at bay throughout the second period.
Dragons manager Eileen Marchant was hoisted aloft by delighted team members after the victory, which earned them a play-off shot.
