BOXING: Huddersfield’s Bradley Jennings has won again!The 15-year-old scored his second victory in three weeks over Wakefield’s Matten Bhatti.The first came on his own home show at Halifax Police Boxing Club, and now he’s triumphed in Wakefield.Jennings will now finish his exams at King James High School before starting a two-year course at Bradford College, where he’s been offered a place in the Boxing Academy.Jennings is looking to turn professional in future.

Cricket: Sachin Tendulkar enjoyed a “perfect ending” to his Indian Premier League career after retiring from the competition following Mumbai Indians’ title-winning victory over Chennai Super Kings.The 40-year-old India superstar did not play in Kolkata because of a hand injury but moments after his side secured a 23-run victory he announced he was to bow out of the IPL.“The World Cup I had to wait for 21 years, and this for six years, so it’s never too late. This is my last IPL and it’s perfect way to end IPL,” he said.

triathlon: Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee’s hopes of regaining his world triathlon title have been bitten by an ankle injury that has forced him to pull out of the World Series race in Madrid this weekend.The 25-year-old, world champion in 2009 and 2011, has competed in only one race this season, winning in San Diego. That puts Brownlee joint 11th in the standings with his brother Jonny, the winner in Yokohama earlier this month, and more than 1,000 points behind leader Joao Silva.
