Huddersfield darts star Scott Waites has booked his place in the last 16 of the BDO World Championships.

The 2013 world champion powered through his first round match beating Dutchman Willem Mandigers 3-0.

The 38-year-old number nine seed will now take on the winner of the first round match between Belgium’s Geert de Vos-B, the number eight seed, or Kostas Pantelidis from Greece on Wednesday.
