Huddersfield Dragons Ladies firsts made a great start to the new season with a 3-1 win at Slazengers.

While the Dragons struggled to find their rhythm in the opening North League Division II South East game, but there were enough positives as they saw off their Horbury rivals.

The Dragons went ahead when Graham hit a pass to skipper Nicola Turner who dribbled it into the ‘D’ and slipped it to Jessop who smashed it into the net.

The pace picked up in the second half and Graham found Sacha Hateley-Lowe to sweep in the second goal, while Slazengers were unable to get anything past goalkeeper Ash Creedon.

A short corner routine by Dragons settled the issue, leaving Slazengers to grab a consolation goal.
