KIRKLEES Rebound Trampoline Club are celebrating gold in the Yorkshire Championships.

They sent a 20-strong team to the Bonus Arena in Hull and head coach Barry Peaker watched as many of them picked up medals.

Pride of place went to Chloe Foster, who excelled in finishing first in the Under 15 Girls section, just ahead of teammate Rhiana Deen-Hine in silver.

Those two then teamed up with Laura Hayward and Jessica Robson to take the team gold, with Niamh Barker also competing.

Foster and Deen-Hine also picked up team silver in the Ladies Open Age section with Helena Boryslawskyj – Danielle Howard and Gemma Greensmith also took part – and they were beaten only by a team with the current World Cup champion in it.

In the Over 17s category, Esther Gallick, Kate Causer, Sarah Mear and Rachel Ford all jumped well to take team bronze.

Robyn Evans competed in the Under 17 Girls event and also took part in the Double Mini Trampoline discipline, taking the individual silver.

In the Under 11 Boys category, Jacob Wignall finished a respectable third after completing two clean routines. Sophia Kimber and Katie Wignall competed well in the Under 11 Girls.

In the Under 13 Girls, Jodie Ramsden and Melynda Brown performed good routines, as did Bradley Noon in the Under 13 Boys.

The club run regular recreational classes and also caters for those who wish to compete.
