KIRKLEES REBOUND Trampoline Club have Rhiana-Deen Hine and Helena Boryslawskyj competing in the British Trampoline and Tumbling Championships this weekend.

The top 500 trampolinists in the country are competing at the NIA in Birmingham today and tomorrow, including members of the British Olympic squad at what will be the last major competition before the London Games.

The 12-year-old Rhiana-Deen is competing in the Under 15 Girls National C group.

She attends King James High in Almondbury and has been trampolining for four years and it’s the second year she has made it to the championships.

Helena, 23, competes in the Over 19 Ladies National C group. She is studying graduate entry medicine at University of Bitmingham, but has trampolined with Kirklees Rebound since she was 13.

Helena says: “Trampolining training is addictive and fun.

“There is nothing worse than entering a sports hall, standing next to a trampoline and knowing you can’t get on and bounce!

“I come back to Kirklees as it would be hard move to another club when you have built up 100% trust in your coach to attempt new moves.

“The nationals will be a great experience.”
