BOROUGH of Kirklees again picked up the Top Club award at the Rotherham Metro Graded swimming meet held at Ponds Forge.

The meet is aimed at swimmers who have not qualified for this years nationals and is split into two levels (A and B grade) and the club had a big team take part.

There was a massive haul of medals through the age groups and the club finished with a total of 416 points, which was over 100 points ahead of nearest rivals Warrington Warriors and the City of Sheffield.

There were a number of excellent performances from the swimmers, too, none more so than from Matthew Hinchliffe, who won six gold medals to win the Top Boy award in a fantastic finish to the season for him.
