TWO students from the TTMAS Taekwondo school based in Marsh took gold and silver in their first ever major tournament.
In the competition in Doncaster, Damian Bowden, who has been training for almost a year, took gold in the men’s heavyweight continuous sparring.
And Jill Irving, who has been training for 18 months, took the silver in the mixed continuous sparring.
Both are parents that train with their sons at the Total Taekwondo Martial Arts School at Marsh Mills under the instruction of David Cliffe, a third degree black belt.
Almost 100 competitors took part in the tournament in South Yorkshire.
