UNIVERSITY of Leeds Nursing lecturer Gary Morris has just been awarded his 4th Dan black belt in Shukokai karate, which he passed with high marks.
He has been training in martial arts for 30 years, and for the last 15 has been a student of Nisar Smiler, with whom he has trained and helped teach at his classes in Huddersfield and Bradford. Morris is currently working towards gaining black belt grade in five different martial arts weapons, under the tuition of Dave McIntyre in Manchester.
